WORKING TOGETHER TO FILL HEALTHCARE GAPS FOR WOMEN ON THE MOVE
THE UNHCR estimates that women & girls make up around 50% of any refugee, internally displaced or stateless population, with more than 60-million forcibly displaced or stateless worldwide.
Displaced women do not have GPs; cannot attend their local health centre; cannot talk regularly or safely about their bodies; they cannot attend routine appointments or just 'drop in' if they are worried......
WHOM International works with established medical NGOs to stop women from falling through these gaps in access to medical care....care that is sensitive, care that is maybe hard to talk about, care they are not safe to request....
WHOM International is headed by a team of medical practitioners, with Mission volunteers who are committed to providing that care to women who have
no choice but to be On The Move.....
